Updates on Botswana Accident

Candace(below) is doing well in Tulsa getting ready for graduation soon and Mrs. Kenosi (pictured with Candace before the accident below) will be returning to Francistown some time next week to continue her recovery. The doctor's have done what they can for her. They repaired the fractures to her spinal column but were not able to repair her spinal cord. So this is where GOD finishes the job! She still has no mobility in her legs. She has a good foundation in the Word and will be surrounded by people of faith!

Karla has been discharged from the hospital (see her room below)

She is now recovering at our house. She is able to get around with her walker and back brace. She even made it out to the optometrist today to get fitted for new glasses lost in the tumble.

Pearl is taking care of dad (Mr. Kenosi) at home!
We appreciate your prayers!

"...They shall recover!"

UPDATES ON THOSE INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT
CANDICE: Back in Tulsa 48 hors later than planned. Back with family and friends and working on finishing her music CD
KARLA: About to be discharged, just waiting for a corset to arrive and she should be able to come to our house to finish recovering.
MR KENOSI: Discharged on Friday! Arm is healing nicely. Should be playing bass again soon.
MRS. KENOSI: Doing well in Johannesburg. Had a surgery for her femur (thigh bone) that went very well. In the next day or two she will be operated on by a top nuerosurgeon being guided by the Great Physician for her spinal injury. She is noticing some sensation returning to her legs!
PEARL: Recovering nicely and getting ready to go back to school soon.

We appreciate your prayers!

Let's Finish What We Started!

***UPDATE (floors are tiled and ceilings finished in classrooms! Walls and ceilings painted in Outdooe and underwater themes, pictures to be posted later!)***

Below are some pictures of the less than beautiful areas of the building that need to be finished. It really was an awesome thing God did by helping us get on to our own property last year in a very short time!
Really my idea is that if there are some of you out there who are like me who can't walk past a crooked picture without staightening it (even at someone else's house who you don't know well) you will be compelled to help us finish this! :)

Wiring is finished but left hanging where ceiling is unfinished.

Almost ready for ceiling board.

Floors are rough cement covered in area rugs,

Need to be tiled

Walls need to be finished. Using masonite temporarily. Pretty? No.

Dinner Theater Comedy

Light of the World Ministries recently put on a dinner theater as a fund raiser for our new building. It was a lot of fun!

Rev. Blomquist and Miss Fit

Indian rapper ....Candice was hilarious!!

Karla and Candice "Peath out"

Madison...I really didn't know my cool 14 year old was capable of playing a nerd trying to "Get a Life" so convincingly!!!

Photos of Candice and Karla

Third year Rhema missions interns Candice Powers and Karla Hammond were in the accident (see below) with the Kenosi Family (see Kenosi pics post).

Candice will be back in Tulsa on Tuesday at noon. This will be her favorite shirt now with a genuine lion bite hole as a conversation piece!

Karla is still here with us recovering and resting. Missing her family but in good spirits.
